The Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of Taekwondo in the Country. In 1977, The Federation was granted affiliation by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) and Asian Taekwondo Union (ATU).

Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation and stands among the official games in the Olympics.

In 1962, the Taekwondo was introduced in Pakistan by Korean Consulate in Karachi. In 1982, the Federation was affiliated with the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).

Presently, Lieutenant Colonel Waseem Ahmed is the President and Mr Murtaza Hassan Bangish is the Secretary General of the Federation. These office bearers were elected on 9 February 2014 during General Council / Executive Committee Meeting of the Federation.
